Although we are searching for things closer to home, I always love looking through the Factory 20 website at their beautiful collections.

Demolishinghttp://www.racket.net.au/renovation/demolishing/ http://www.racket.net.au/renovation/demolishing/#comments Sun, 01 May 2011 12:03:49 +0000 Racket http://www.racket.net.au/?p=1898 Finally finally after almost six months the loathsome council have given us the go ahead to start work on the house. I could write pages about their bizarre feedback to our applications but it is all we have been ranting about to our poor friends and family for months and we are happy to forget all the wrangling and start at the house we have been camping in with a crow bar.

Paul’s parents came to visit for a few days and with their help we have started to remove wall linings, take out the bathrooms, the galley kitchen and any left over carpet and feral mouldy lino.

Our future bedroom.

These corridor walls are being pulled down to create our future kitchen / dinning / lounge space.

Seaweed insulation in the walls.

After crazy amounts of dust, rubble and horsehair plaster the walls open up and the light comes in.

Early 50′s newspapers found between layer 3 and 4 of the 5 layers of disgusting mouldy lino .

Tomorrow my dad is tag teaming in to help pull down an old chimney.

Oh Little Beachhttp://www.racket.net.au/playing/oh-little-beach/ http://www.racket.net.au/playing/oh-little-beach/#comments Thu, 07 Apr 2011 11:46:47 +0000 Racket http://www.racket.net.au/?p=1871 Not so much ranting in a while, we have had a rough couple of months for various reasons and have been in dire need of some lazy days of camping, eating, walking and the like. Having moved to new lands recently we had to seek out a new camping place not so far from home and with a request put in for sandcastles, we found ourselves at Little Beach in Boudii National Park. You have to walk your stuff in from the car park but it is only a 700m walk which was not so bad for those with little legs, although the hills did lead to his burden being distributed pretty quickly.

Beautiful unidentified tiny fish in one of the numerous rock pools.

We were the lucky recipients of the glorious campsite No.1

Inner tent torch madness.

Dreamy tent-side morning breakfast view.
